I used micron pens: 0.1, 0.3, & 0.5. For the markers on the whiteboard, I used what we call "brush pen". It's a pen with a wide, soft tip that behaves somewhat like a stiff brush (easier to control).
The clean look is thanks to the scanner, I think. Somehow my ink works look cleaner after I bought an Epson scanner
